義大犀牛洋投力猛13日2局下演出不可思議的接球，策動雙殺守備，球迷驚呼連連，14日賽前提到當時的狀況，力猛笑稱：「打棒球這麼久，還是第一次碰到這樣的情況，回到休息室還跟羅力說，嘿，你的金手套應該在我的袋子裡。」
當時2局下1出局一壘有人，力猛面對郭嚴文擊出的正面平飛球，迅速轉身，頭還沒轉回來，靠著直覺反應，直接把球接進手套中，再轉傳一壘，策動雙殺。
「真的是滿有趣，我想我永遠不會忘記那一幕，當時根本沒有想到會接住那顆球，完全是反射動作，畢竟你身為投手，面對這樣的強襲球，你不會希望它穿過中線，不管是踢球、還是用身體擋球，一定會想盡辦法把球留在內野。」力猛高舉手套之後直接把球接住，又策動雙殺，他開心表示，自己也算運氣好，有個好結果。
這一戰犀牛以1比2惜敗，賽後的休息室氣氛沒有太差，大家討論著力猛此役表現，以及那一記精彩雙殺，藍斯佛、羅力也對他讚不絕口，力猛隨後向包辦去年5座個人獎的羅力表示：「金手套這個頭銜應該是屬於我了。」羅力則指著自己的頭：「抱歉，我可是有3座王冠呢，怎麼會因為你一個美技，就被你搶走。」
有別於前一場對中信兄弟僅投4.1局慘失8分，力猛昨役先發7局只被擊出5支安打，失掉2分皆非責失，他說：「對兄弟那一戰，球數總是處於落後，可是當球數領先時，想製造出局數的那一球，裁判並不喜歡，在這個聯盟打球，一旦自己失去優勢，很快又會被打者掌握，昨天對桃猿，直球進壘角度都有照想要的位置走，控球有控到好的進壘點，裁判也有撿。」
「身為一位職業選手，你必須要學習短暫記憶，忘掉過去不好的事情，想辦法再做調整，積極面對下一場比賽。」力猛說。
